Best Exercise To Burn Fat
It is well known that in order to burn fat you have to get two factors right: your energy intake (measured in calories) and your energy burn. All diets are geared towards reducing the calories that we ingest so that when we burn energy, we are not just burning energy from the food that we have eaten, we are burning the energy that is stored in our body as fat, and that is basically how we lose weight, and to help us, we need the best exercise to burn fat

The ways in which we can reduce our calories intake are discussed elsewhere on this site. What we are interested in here is the best exercise to burn fat. Many weight loss gurus are concerned with the calorie-burning capabilities of exercise, and are very keen to recommend this exercise or that exercise, but our definition of “best exercise to burn fat” is based on one major factor.
It is one thing to decide on an exercise and then to go off and start doing it two or three times a week – or perhaps even daily, but how often do we cease exercising after a relatively short period of time? Has this happened to you? You start off in high spirits exercising frequently and then a couple of weeks down the line your exercising has ceased, and in its place are excuses as you try to justify the situation to yourself.
The real key to finding the best exercise to burn fat is to find something that you can do permanently. It doesn’t matter what the exercise is – and we’ll show you why shortly. For now, try to think of something you could do frequently – preferably daily – that you have a reasonable chance of doing permanently. It could be walking to work and back, cycling to school, taking the dog for a walk, housework - anything, but preferably something that you will you do for a minimum of 30 minutes daily.
Now let’s see what effect permanent exercise will have on your weight loss efforts. Let’s say you choose an exercise that burns tons of calories. Like running. If you weigh 140 pounds, three one-hour runs per week will burn off 3600 calories the equivalent of one pound. That’s great, but let’s be honest, how long will you keep that up for? A month maybe? In a month you would burn 14500 calories, or just over four pounds, which is great, but soon you would probably give up the running, and even worse, you would soon put the weight back on.
But what if you chose walking to work for example? 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back would burn 160 calories, or 800 calories if you do it five times per week. That’s not very good is it? Or is it? Because it’s a simple, reasonable exercise, there is a good chance that you will be able to incorporate it into your lifestyle as a permanent feature. How many calories would you burn in a year? 41600, or 11 pounds. How much did we burn off in the running example? Initially, four pounds, but as we stopped after one month, those four pounds will probably return.
Now perhaps you can see that the best exercise to burn fat is the one that you do permanently.
